Ed Hut
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
 As Chief Executive Officer of DBAK, Ed provides strategic direction, manages business development, and oversees top-line leadership functions for the company. Ed has been engaged in software and technology business development for more than 25 years, with more than 20 years providing Oracle solutions to a broad range of clients in a variety of industries including financial services, technology, communications, and retail. With a focus on direct communication at all levels of business interaction and highly skilled in business strategy, Ed partners with clients to define and map solutions that are cost-effective and geared to long term success. His deep knowledge of a wide range of technical systems – including Oracle applications and technology – is matched with his ability to understand critical business issues and match appropriate resources to each client’s goals. Ed holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas.

Frank Bommarito
Co-Founder and Chief Services Officer
Frank is widely recognized as a thought leader and expert in designing, tuning, and troubleshooting advanced technology for large-scale, highly complex systems. With more than 25 years of experience covering the Oracle Database, Oracle Applications, Oracle Application Server, and Oracle’s development tools, Frank has a comprehensive view of Oracle products/technologies complemented by deep knowledge of a vast array of other technology systems and how they interact. With a passion for digging into complex technology and solving problems, Frank works with clients on areas that include high availability, disaster recovery, data warehousing, online transaction processing, and process automation. Frank is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Ferris State University.

Bob Harland
Vice President and Managing Principal
Bob has been in business and IT consulting for more than 20 years, with a strong background in ERP systems, including Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, and JD Edwards. Bob is a seasoned leader with particular strengths in process transformation, project management, accounting, finance, and operations. He has been responsible for developing strategic direction for ERP and financial management systems, including the execution of software selection projects, ERP implementations, process improvement, custom integration work, and ongoing support of application and technical architecture. Bob has overseen global Oracle EBS, BI/EPM, Financials, Procure to Pay projects, and over the course of his career working for multiple consultancies, he has helped global and national clients integrate best-in-class and emerging technologies with organizational and process best practices to achieve business benefit. Bob holds a Master of Science degree in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.

John O’Connors
Vice President, General Manager and Managing Principal
John brings more than 20 years of business executive experience with an exceptional background in information systems management. A skilled team builder and proven leader with expertise in the development and service delivery of legacy and Web based business systems, John’s track record demonstrates keen abilities in seeing the big picture, and recognizing and capitalizing on pivotal opportunities to drive superior business results, and a focus on the team approach for strategy and problem solving. John has an extensive background in the financial services industry including brokerage, banking, and insurance products. Previous positions include Managing Director and Head of Technology Infrastructure and Security Risk Management for TD Ameritrade; Chief Information Officer for Health Management Systems; and Vice President of Operations for PaineWebber, Inc. in Lincoln Harbor, New Jersey. John graduated from the Hudson Valley Community College with an Associate’s degree in Engineering and studied Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Newark College of Engineering.

Therese Pickard
Vice President of Market Development
As Vice President of Market Development, Therese is responsible for overall leadership of the company’s market presence, increasing awareness of the DBAK brand, working to expand the company into new markets, and demonstrating DBAK’s value to current and emerging markets. With a background that includes public relations, design, and advertising, Therese is a senior communications professional with particular strengths in developing comprehensive strategies for market development, strategic alliances, strategic demand generation and lead-gen campaigns, corporate communications, effective web strategies, brand management, and thought leadership. Therese served on the Executive Conference Committee for OAUG in 2008, and has worked closely with various Oracle user groups including RMOUG. Therese holds an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Linguistics as a Regents Scholar from Eastern Michigan University. 

Jim Plummer
Vice President and Managing Principal
Jim is a software development leader, architect and IT professional, bringing more than 20 years leading teams for Oracle, and custom IT development projects. A strong leader with expertise in aligning requirements to strategic business objectives, his roles have included technical and solution architect, business process lead, and technical lead. His expertise includes business process analysis, planning, budget preparation, and team management and development. Jim has worked across a variety of industries including financial services, healthcare, energy, telecommunications, internet technology media and publishing. Jim has provided skilled guidance and direction on projects ranging from technical upgrades, integrations, and implementations. Jim is also a thought leader, continually leveraging his own strengths and drawing on management concepts from work he did at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Jim holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Carleton University, in Ottawa, Canada.

Al Lopez
Al is a Principal for DBAK bringing a background of more than 20 years of Applications Development and experience implementing technology in a variety of industries, with particular focus on manufacturing and IT environments. A strong leader and mentor, Al is especially skilled at technical management, architectural design and integration, liaison between functional and technical requirements, database installation and administration, and custom development. He is highly experienced in SOA, business process re-engineering, organizational change management, decision support systems, use of technology to introduce change within organizations, networking, Enterprise Systems Management and factory automation. An Oracle Certified Master, Al has extensive experience working with heterogeneous landscapes interfaced with E-Business Suite via middleware and EAI solutions. He has worked with more than 30 companies for 16+ years on large ERP implementations including Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, Baan and Siebel.
